Below you will see some of the recommended ‘must experience attractions.’
APOLLON TEMPLE: The Temple of Apollo in Didim
is one of the most impressive ancient ruins in Turkey and a must-visit
attraction for history enthusiasts and holiday makers visiting Didim.
Located just outside the town centre of Didim, this marvellous structure was
once one of the most important oracle sites. When standing close to it you can
feel the energy coming from it, and seeing the sheer size, and the incredible
detail still visible of its marble columns will leave you in awe, especially
the colossal remnants of the temple. The temple's rich history and stunning
architecture make it an unforgettable experience for anyone looking to
connect with the ancient past while enjoying the beauty of the Turkish
Aegean coast. Another interesting detail is there’s what’s called a ‘Sacred
Road’ that in ancient times was a direct road from Apollo Temple in Didim to
Miletus.

ruins, and perhaps take a leisurely walk along the ancient streets, it's best
to allocate more time. Also, if you plan on visiting the nearby Ephesus
Archaeological Museum and The House of Virgin Mary (Meryem Ana Evi) or

hour or two. Overall, 4 to 5 hours will allow you to fully absorb the historical
